Russian channels RTR-Planeta and Planeta Sport have been added to Globecast WorldTV U.S. broadcasting lineup, Globecast announced. RTR-Planeta offers prime time news, made-for-television and feature films, documentaries, and cultural programming. Planeta Sport provides coverage of international sports.

Globecast also announced that it has signed an agreement to deliver Planeta Sport to audiences in Europe via the Hot Bird satellite. Hot Bird, located at 13 degreesEast, serves more than 98 million television homes across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
