The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)is looking to launch a new all-weather imaging satellite by 2007, according to news reports from Bangalore, India.
ISRO Chairman G. Madhavan Nair said his organization his developing the radar imaging satellite in order to obtain clear satellite images of Earth, even under cloudy conditions that would otherwise obscure the images. The system would be used to benefit farmers in India, he said.
