Shipping company Maersk Sealand completed a field evaluation of Inmarsat’s Fleet F77 128 kilobits per second services, Inmarsat announced. “Throughout the trial we found the 128 kbps Fleet F77 service to be very reliable,” Torsten Svanholm, Maersk’s senior superintendent engineer in IT and communications, said. The tests, carried out by independent data and messaging specialists Imhotek, took place on the container vessel Chastine Maersk, one of Maersk Sealand’s 300 ships.
