African DTH operator Multichoice expects its DStv personal video recorder (PVR) to be available in retail stores in the fourth quarter, the company announced.

The PVR decoder is the latest addition to Multichoice’s current range of decoders and will include features such as the ability to pause live television and provide instant replays on demand. Multichoice did not reveal details about the capacity of the PVR.

Multichoice also beefed up its interactive offering to subscribers with the launch of M-Net Extra, which will enable users to gain information about favorite shows and movies on the M-Net channel.
