Norsat International Inc. said Sept. 29 it has fulfilled an $800,000 order to supply portable satellite systems to the 1^st Calvary Division of the U.S. Army.

1^st Calvary troops use the portable satellite systems to transmit high-fidelity data and video as part of the current engagement in Joint Task Force Katrina. The task force is responsible for coordinating overall U.S. Department of Defense relief efforts in the Gulf Coast areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.
