Caprock Communications announced Sept. 28 that Indonesia-based mining company PT. Arutmin is extending its contract with Caprock for an additional two years.

The relationship with Caprock began in late 2004 when Caprock acquired Telematika, which had been providing communications services to Arutmin’s remote sites. Under the terms of the contract extension, Caprock will supply complete, ruggedized communications systems to Arutmin, along with video conferencing systems used to communicate between the remote sites and the corporate office.

Financial terms of the contract extension were not disclosed.
