Echostar Communications Corp., which operates the Dish Network direct-to-home satellite television service, announced Sept. 27 that Linda Kinney joined the company as vice president of law and regulation.

She comes to Echostar after spending the past 11 years at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, where she most recently served as deputy general counsel under Chairman Michael Powell.
