Arianespace announced Sept. 23 it was delaying the launch of the Syracuse 3A and Galaxy 15 satellites because “an anomaly was found on an element of the Ariane 5 launch vehicle.”

The launch services provider said replacing the unnamed element should take a few days and will lead to an equivalent delay of the launch, initially scheduled for Sept. 29 from the company’s launch facility in Kourou, French Guiana. A new launch date “will be announced shortly,” the company said.
