Tachyon Networks Inc. said Sept. 21 it is donating secure, carrier-grade broadband satellite services system to the Naval Postgraduate School arm of Joint Task Force Katrina. The system will help facilitate communications between shore-based relief personnel and field agents throughout regions affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Joint Task Force Katrina is using Tachyon’s push-button, automatically deployable satellite earth station solution, dubbed Auto Deploy, which is capable of providing high-speed connectivity at virtually any location in a matter of minutes.
