Swe-Dish Increases Power To Products, Opens Middle East Office
Swe-Dish Satellite Systems announced it upgraded its Suitcase terminal power with a 35-watt amplifier from the previous 25-watt version. According to company executives, the user will benefit from a 30 percent increase in bandwidth, enabling the terminal to close links exceeding 5 megabits per second. This product is used by broadcasters, governmental organizations, defense and rescue units.
“We listen to our customers’ needs and we work hard to develop and implement their desired requirements. The new and more powerful Suitcase will increase the quality and efficiently of our product, giving our customers greater capability and flexibility,” Lars Jehrlander, CEO of Swe-Dish, said in a statement.
In addition to the technological upgrade, Swe-Dish announced the opening of its office in the Middle East in an effort to better serve this market. Located in Dubai, Swe-Dish officials hope to grow its already strong broadcasting and government business.
“Dubai is the gateway to the whole Middle East untapped market,” said Jehrlander. According to the company, there is an increased need for mobile satellite communication systems within the region.
