XM Satellite Radio to Broadcast Live Farm Aid’s 20th Anniversary Concert
XM Satellite Radio announced Sept. 8 that it would broadcast the 20th Anniversary Farm Aid Concert live Sept. 18 from the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, Ill.
XM’s coverage of the concert will begin at noon on X Country and XM Live and include artist interviews and live performances from the main Farm Aid 2005 stage.
The 20th Anniversary Farm Aid concert will feature performances by Farm Aid directors Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews, as well as other musicians, including Kenny Chesney, Arlo Guthrie, Buddy Guy, Emmylou Harris, Los Lonely Boys, John Mayer, Susan Tedeschi, Widespread Panic and Wilco.
Through public education and direct grants, Farm Aid supports national, regional and local efforts to build and strengthen family farm food production.
