In yesterday’s edition of Satellite Today, the headlining regarding Loral Space and Communication‘s emergence from bankruptcy suggested the company’s stock would be available through an initial public offering (IPO). Loral stock will be available to the public, but not through an IPO. Loral expects to emerge from bankruptcy in October, after it receives FCC approval, with its new stock being distributed to creditors. Following that distribution, Loral expects public trading of the stock to begin on the Nasdaq exchange shortly thereafter.
