SES Astra said Sept. 6 that ITV Broadcasting signed a long-term deal for 16 megabits of transmission capacity, which it will use for new services such at interactive programming in the United Kingdom. This new contract adds to the five transponders ITV already leases from SES Astra.

SES Astra did not disclose what satellite the capacity was leased on or the financial terms of the contract.
