Intelsat Ltd. announced late last week it completed laboratory testing and analysis of Hughes Network Systems‘ DW7000 satellite broadband platform, clearing the way for the system and the Internet protocol over satellite standard to be added to the portfolio of broadband technologies Intelsat offers.

The DW7000 family of broadband satellite routers initially consists of two offerings: the DW7700 for high-performance enterprise and government requirements and the DW7000 for small business and individual consumers.
