Sirius Satellite Radio begins broadcasting BBC Radio 1 programming at 9 a.m. EDT Aug. 10, the company announced. Under a deal announced in June, the BBC Radio 1 lineup will be available on Sirius channel 97 on a 5-hour time delay, so the channel’s line-up can be heard in the same timeframe as in the United Kingdom.

Separately, Sirius said it called for redemption all of its outstanding 15 percent Senior Secured Discount Notes due 2007 and its 14 Senior Secured Notes due 2009. The notes will be redeemed Sept. 8. The 15 percent notes will be redeemed at a price of 107.5 percent of the principal amount outstanding plus interest to the redemption date. The 14 percent notes will be redeemed at a price of 104.833 percent of the principal amount outstanding plus interest to the redemption date.
