ITT Industries said it received a one-year base contract from Telos Corp. to provide operations and maintenance support for the AN/GSC-39D Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP) facility at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The contract is valued at $19 million if all options are exercised.

The STEP site provides voice and data circuits within Afghanistan, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait. ITT will provide 24-hour operational coverage of the Al Udeid Satellite Communications earth terminal and associated communications equipment operating as part of the Defense Information Infrastructure program.

The award was granted under Telos’ Network Centric Solutions program contract vehicle for the U.S. Air Force.
