Panamsat announced July 25 it signed an extension to provide satellite delivery of HDNet programming networks to U.S. cable and direct broadcast satellite providers. The multi-transponder agreement now runs through January 2021.

HDNet programming is available on more then 50 cable and satellite systems, including Adelphia, Charter Communications, DirecTV, Dish Network, RCN, Starpower, and Time Warner Cable.

The capacity was leased on Panamsat’s Galaxy 13 satellite, which resides at 127 degrees West. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
