Maxwell Technologies Inc. received a contract from Orbital Sciences Corp. to provide a computer for NASA‘s Glory earth science mission, Maxwell announced July 28.

San Diego-based Maxwell will provide its SCS750 single board computer, which will be used to manage payload data.

Glory is a three-year mission that will investigate the composition of greenhouse gases and the effect of solar radiation on Earth’s environment. Orbital is building the satellite and will manage the 2008 launch and the mission.
