DirecTV Inc. added ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp.‘s Filipino entertainment and services package to DirecTV’s lineup. DirecTV also acquired ABS-CBN’s current direct- to-home satellite service subscribers.

The deal between the two companies adds more than 80,000 ABS-CBN TFCdirect subscribers to DirecTV’s subscriber base. The TFCdirect package, The Filipino Channel (TFC), Cinema One, ABS-CBN News Channel, Pinoy Central TV and two audio channels, previously were available only through ABS-CBN.

The package now will be available exclusively on DirecTV for $22.99 per month. Existing subscribers to the package will be switched to the DirecTV Worlddirect international programming platform for free.
