Asia Pulse reported July 18 that SK Telecom Co.‘s mobile satellite television service surpassed the 100,000-subscriber mark, but the number is lower than expected, according to the South Korea Ministry of Information and Communications and unnamed analysts. The service, which offers seven video and 20 audio channels, launched commercial operations in April. TU Media, a business unit of SK Telecom, operates the satellite-based mobile TV service.
