The People’s Daily Online reported China’s Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense handed over control of the FY-2C meteorological satellite to the China Meteorological Administration July 14. The satellite, which has been in trial operation for six months, will monitor disastrous weather caused by meso- and micro-scale weather systems.
