Digitalglobe July 13 announced the availability of a product aimed at helping mappers, planners and geographic information systems specialists improve geospatial applications with current high-resolution satellite imagery data.

Digitalglobe Citysphere is an off-the-shelf collection of Quickbird satellite imagery covering 200 global urban centers. Offered as 60-centimeter (two-foot) resolution, color orthomosaics with 1:4,800 scale map accuracy, Citysphere products featuring these urban centers will be updated on an annual basis. Digitalglobe will release new worldwide cities monthly throughout the next 12 months.
