GPS Industries Inc., a provider of Wi-Fi wireless and GPS-enabled communications and management systems for golf facilities and residential communities, announced July 13 that White Hawk Country Club in northwest Indiana, will implement GPS Industries’ Inforemer Wi-Fi GPS golf business solutions. The Inforemer system offers golfers a handheld device that provides access to positioning information on the golf course so they can more accurately determine the distance to the hole. The handheld device also can receive news, sports scores and other information and includes tools to help manage the business operations of the course.

The Inforemer marketing program allows the operator to sell banner ads that run on the screen and can offset the cost of the system.
