Ottawa’s C-Com Satellite Systems Inc. earned Cdn. $53,000 ($44,000) in its second quarter on revenue of Cdn. $1.3 million ($1.1 million), the company reported July 12.

In the 2004 second quarter, C-Com, which develops, manufactures and deploys mobile satellite-based technology for the delivery of two-way high-speed Internet services into vehicles, posted a profit of Cdn. $44,000 ($37,000) on sales of Cdn. $1.2 million ($998,000).

C-Com attributed increased profits to the market demand for its iNetVu Mobile platforms. “We expect to see further sales increases for the balance of the fiscal year and are working toward continued profitability,” Leslie Klein, president and CEO of C-Com, said in a statement.
