Eutelsat signed a contract with Algerie Telecom, a telecommunications provider in Algeria, to support a satellite broadband program that will service public administrations and enterprises throughout the country.

Algerie Telecom will lease capacity on Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 3. With that leased capacity, the company will offer Internet access, virtual private networks, data transfer, video-conferencing and voice over Internet protocol applications.

Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
