SES Astra announced July 4 it entered into an agreement with Netherlands-based regional broadcaster L1 to provide free-to-air broadcasts of L1 TV and L1 Radio via the Astra satellite at 19.2 degrees East.

L1 presents news, information and entertainment programs from the Limburg region. Broadcasting via Astra will provide access to programming to those in remote areas that may not have cable as an option.
