Pace Micro Technology announced June 29 a supplier agreement with Modern Times Group Viasat Broadcasting to support the Nordic satellite pay television service provider’s personal video recorder (PVR) rollout in Scandinavia.

Viasat selected the Pace TDS460 set-top box to roll out its PVR service, which will enable subscribers to record programming for later viewing and to pause and rewind live television. The units come with a 160-gigabyte hard drive and twin tuners, allowing subscribers to record one program while viewing another or record two programs simultaneously while watching a third, previously recorded program.
