Echostar Communications Corp. said June 23 it added the Indian channel Zee Gujarati to its international programming lineup of its Dish Network direct-to-home satellite television service. This brings the number of South Asian channel offered to Dish subscribers to 20.

Broadcast from Noida, India, Zee Gujarati is positioned as wholesome family “infotainment.” It provides a platform to promote and preserve Gujarati culture. The channel broadcasts a mix of classic and contemporary programming, including current affairs and festival-based programs. It also provides a forum for Gujarat residents to display their talent in art, music, literature, dance, theater and handicrafts.

Dish customers can subscribe to Zee Gujarati for $14.99 per month.
