El Al Airlines is equipping seven passenger jets with Sky Connect Iridium satellite terminals, which will provide global cockpit voice and data communications during long-haul flights, Iridium Satellite LLC said June 22.

Gayacom, Iridium’s authorized service provider in Israel, is providing the Sky Connect systems.

The value of the systems was not disclosed.
