Inmarsat Launches IPO On The London Stock Exchange

      The London Stock Exchange announced June 17 that Inmarsat Plc launched an initial public offering of common stock.

      According to Bloomberg, Inmarsat raised 367.5 million pounds ($669 million) through the sale of 150 million shares of its stock to private investors. The shares will be made publicly available on the stock exchange beginning June 22.

      The initial public offering (IPO) is the third this year by a private equity-owned Fixed Satellite Services operator, following Panamsat and New Skies Satellites. Apax Partners Worldwide LLP and Permira Advisers Ltd. own Inmarsat.
