Stratos Global Corp., a global provider of Inmarsat mobile satellite services, announced June 8 that it is the first provider to offer the new, higher speed Inmarsat Fleet F77 data service in the Pacific Ocean region.

Fleet F77, the latest-generation Inmarsat maritime communications solution, provides data transmission at speeds up to 128 kilobits per second. Stratos is now the only Inmarsat provider operating this service — which provides double the data capacity of standard Fleet data services — in all four-ocean regions.
