Helius Inc. said May 17 it entered into a licensing agreement with Hughes Network Systems LLC (HNS) under which HNS will license certain broadband satellite technology from Helius. The technology involves the use of satellite and terrestrial transmission to minimize the capacity overload of landlines. The agreement settles a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Helius.
