Aramiska CEO Philippe Bodart told Satellite Today that he is unsure whether a consumer satellite broadband play will work in Europe.
“I have my serious doubts as to whether a consumer play can work in Europe,” he said. “Economically, it is hard to justify. You have to have prices in the 20 euros to 30 euros per month ($26 to $39) range. It is hard to see how you can make money.”
Aramiska offers high-speed Internet access and broadband services to businesses in Europe via two-way satellite technologyand is one of the main satellite broadband players in Europe.
An exclusive in-depth interview with Philippe Bodart can be found in the May 2nd issue of Satellite News. For more information about subscribing to Access Intelligence’s satellite newsletters, check out our Web site at https://www.satellitetoday.com.
