Alcatel Space Makes New Security Appointment

Alcatel Space has appointed a seasoned French armed forces veteran as its new defence and security advisor.

Rear Admiral Benoit Montanié joins Alcatel Space from the French armed forces where he had been in charge of space policy since September 2003 under the title of General Space Officer.

Previously, he was chief of staff in the French delegation to NATO in Brussels from 1999 to 2001, and was also assigned to the international relations division at armed forces headquarters. In addition, he served as naval advisor to French defense procurement agency DGA.

Montanié replaces General Bernard Molard at Alcatel Space.
