Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) acquired the patent portfolio of Celsat Inc, which includes 13 granted and two pending patents that cover a hybrid terrestrial/satellite system concept. These patents will join MSV’s patent portfolio. The financial terms of the acquisition were not released.

“With the addition of the Celsat patents, MSV’s leadership role and strategic advantage is further solidified,” MSV CEO Peter Karabinis said in a statement.
