AsiaSat CEO Peter Jackson is confident that transponder pricing trends are going to be more positive in the Asia-Pacific region throughout the next 12 months. The operator is a key player in the region and is hoping market conditions will become more favorable this year. Market conditions have generally been pretty tough for satellite operators in Asia in recent years.

Jackson told Satellite Today, “The trend on the pricing is definitely going up. You are going to see a greater rise in C-band [pricing]. But I think in Ku-band, there is still going to be a lot of pressure.”
