Firestone Communications Inc. said it signed a multi-year network origination agreement with OBN Holdings Inc., through which Firestone will make available OBN’s programming available to U.S. cable operators and television stations via Firestone’s uplink to the Intelsat Americas-13 (IA-13) satellite. The agreement increases OBN’s programming reach, which already is airing on a network of more than 100 U.S. television stations. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Moving our uplink and transmissions operations to Firestone’s transponder on Intelsat Americas-13 is the logical next step as we expand our network’s reach,” Roger Smith, president and CEO of OBN said in a prepared statement.

Earlier this week, Firestone also entered into a multi-year agreement with The Soundtrack Channel to provide full master control and satellite uplink services for the channel. The Soundtrack Channel also is broadcast to cable operators via an uplink to the IA-13 satellite.
