The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said that it will launch its Demonstration of Autonomous Rendezvous Technology (DART) spacecraft on April 15. The spacecraft is designed to demonstrate docking and rendezvous capabilities without the aid of an astronaut piloting the vehicle. For the purposes of this demonstration, DART will rendezvous with the Multiple Paths, Beyond-Line-of-Site Communications (MUBLCOM) satellite.

The DART spacecraft will be launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base at 1:21 p.m. on an Orbital Sciences Corp.-built Pegasus rocket.
