Bernama.com reported March 11 that Astro All Asia Network plc and Lippo Group of Indonesia have united in a joint venture, named PT Astro Nusantara, to provide satellite pay-television services in Indonesia. Astro will hold 51 percent of the joint venture, which has an initial paid-up capital of $30 million. Operations of the joint venture are scheduled to commence July 1 and will initially use transponders on Measat-2 then will migrate to Measat-3 after that satellite is launched later this year, Bernama.com reported.
