Telenor subsidiary GMPCS said it opened its first international office in London. The office will serve all of GMPCS’ existing and new clients that use the United Kingdom as a base of operations. GMPCS provides a full compliment of mobile satellite services and equipment that will be supported and distributed from this location. The location will feature Inmarsat global area network, regional broadband global area network and, later this year, broadband global area network terminals, as well as handheld units from Globalstar, Iridium and Thuraya.
