SES Americom, an SES Global company, said it appointed Jack Friedman to the position of senior vice president and general counsel. In this role, Friedman is responsible for all SES Americom legal and regulatory issues. The company noted Friedman’s extensive legal and media industry experience, including consulting assignments for Sony and The Tennis Channel, as well as senior executive roles in business, legal and technology affairs with e-Citi, Viacom and Capital Cities/ABC.

“We are pleased to have Jack leading our legal team; his experience with leading media companies will contribute directly to Americom’s growing leadership in this region,” said SES Americom Chairman Romain Bausch in a prepared statement.
