General Dynamics Taps Enea For MUOS Operating System
Enea Embedded Technology said its OSE real-time operating system and development tools have been selected by General Dynamics for use in a wireless satellite ground control system that General Dynamics is providing for the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). MUOS is a next-generation narrowband tactical satellite communications system designed to improve ground communications for U.S. forces on the move.
Enea describes OSE as a compact, pre-emptive, memory-protected, multi-processor real-time operating system optimized for distributed, fault-tolerant application. It builds a firewall between kernel and application processes that prevents errant or malicious processes from corrupting each other.
