The Associated Press reported Feb. 8 that Japan’s space agency has begun the countdown to the latest launch of that nation’s H2-A rocket, which will carry a multipurpose weather and telecom satellite into orbit on Feb. 24. The mission is the first for the rocket since the last one veered off course during a November 2003 launch that was to carry two spy satellites into orbit.
