According to a Jan. 19 report on SpaceRef.com, JSAT Corp. said its JCSAT-1B satellite experienced an anomaly on Jan. 17 with one of the spacecraft’s thrusters. According to the report, the satellite is dark, with no channels on the satellite available. JSAT reportedly is moving an in-orbit spare into the JCSAT-1B orbital slot to provide alternate capacity if the company is not able to get the satellite back online.
