Telenor Satellite Services and Sea Tel announced a business agreement Jan. 18 under which the two companies will offer a combined package of Sea Tel WaveCall equipment with Telenor’s Sealink broadband communications services. The partnership includes bundling of Sea Tel’s hardware, including the WaveCall 4003 antenna with Sealink’s maritime VSAT services, delivering broadband communications at speeds of up to two megabits per second. The bundling enables users to have an always-on Internet connection, voice over IP calling services and continuous access to LANs and WANs. Financial arrangements of the partnership were not disclosed.
