Hughes Network Systems said it launched a new dedicated network operations center (NOC) to be hosted at its European teleport in Griesheim, Germany. The new NOC will support additional satellite transponder capacity, which was brought online in mid-December to satisfy customer demand for satellite broadband services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa over the Eutelsat W3A satellite. The new NOC will support broadband access, local area network interconnection and IP multicasting.
