According to a Jan. 11 report on ElectricNews.Net, MediaSat will launch a new satellite uplink facility that will allow the Ireland-based company to become more of a player in the satellite broadband market. According to the report, MediaSat is Eircom’s satellite service provider and has about 500 customers using its two-way satellite system now and expects to have 2,000 customers by the end of the year.
