MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) said its space-based imagery is being used to help direct relief efforts and assess the damage caused by the Dec. 26, 2004 tsunamis. The company said it has donated more than 15 million square kilometers of imagery from its global NaturalVue imagery data set to the United Nations Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the U.S. State Department to help in the effort.
