Ford Motor Co. and Sirius Satellite Radio said that Ford and Lincoln Mercury will be offering Sirius satellite radio receivers as a factory installed option this summer. Ford said it is targeting up to 21 vehicle lines. Ford said it expects to generate one million subscribers throughout the 2006-2007 time period. The companies did not announce pricing for the factory installed receivers, but said each Ford or Lincoln Mercury vehicle sold will come with a six-month or longer subscription to Sirius satellite radio services. The first vehicle line to get this option include the Ford F-150, Ford Explorer, Lincoln Mark L/T and the Mercury Mountaineer. Financial terms of the arrangement between Ford and Sirius were not disclosed.
