NFL Network, a cable and satellite television venture launched by the National Football League, has expanded its operations within the Ascent Media Network Services facility in Stamford, CT, to include new high definition (HD) service offerings. The upgrade allows for broadcasts from the NFL Network to be simultaneously broadcast in standard definition and in HD transmitted to cable and satellite affiliates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
